Location: Belfast City Centre - mostly onsite with some WFH flexibility, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Contract: Temporary (long term) - Immediate start with potential for a permanent position


Overview

Our client, a small private sector company providing IT services to the public sector, is seeking an IT Service Desk Advisor to support the delivery of high-quality technical support within their Service Desk team.

In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for users, providing hands-on assistance and troubleshooting for a wide range of Windows-based hardware and software systems. You'll support and maintain end-user devices, manage incidents, and assist with installations, upgrades, and configuration management using Microsoft Intune and SCCM.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with people, and delivering professional, customer-focused IT support in a busy, service-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face and remote IT support to end users across public sector clients.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on Windows devices.

  • Support and manage endpoints via Intune and SCCM, including imaging, patching, and deployment.

  • Assist with configuration, installation, and upgrading of Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Log, track, and escalate incidents in line with SLAs.

  • Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach at all times.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT support or Service Desk role.

  • Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.

  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM for device and application management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
