One of our public sector clients is looking for an IT Security Manager to play a critical role in ensuring the technical security of their ICT environment. Your key responsibility will be managing the technical aspects of our ISO 27001-certified Information Security Management System (ISMS), ensuring a robust and risk-managed environment.

The role involves conducting technical assessments, managing security incidents, and producing comprehensive reports to uphold high security standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in technical security management or a similar role.
  • Proven experience in IT governance / compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 standards and risk management practices.
  • Expertise in conducting technical security assessments and incident management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

What you'll do as IT Security Manager

  • Manage and maintain the technical security of the ICT environment.
  • Oversee the technical elements of the ISO 27001-certified ISMS, ensuring ongoing compliance.
  • Conduct detailed technical assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
  • Lead security incident management processes, including investigation, resolution, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the CSI Manager and other teams to implement effective security controls and improvements.
  • Provide expert advice on technical security matters and contribute to the organisation's risk management strategy.
