Job Description

VANRATH is delighted to be assisting a software company in their hunt for a Business Systems Analyst to join their team, which produces technology-driven goods and services. This position has become vacant on the team as a result of the team's significant growth over the past year.

You will provide advice to clients working at international investment banks and hedge funds on their market data research. As a result, the ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator.

After joining the team, you will spend the first two months assisting a leader, with the potential to eventually manage your own team. The chosen candidate will be in charge of analysing legal papers, implementing intricate business rules, entering data into databases in accordance with predetermined standards, using technical solutions to resolve issues, and corresponding with clients in the market data industry on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data sourcing, discovery and analytics using ETL and business tools
  • Data processing and data mapping
  • Communicating advice to clients
  • Identifying issues and analysis
  • Hands on analytics and application of data science
  • Writing SQL statements to query the data

Skills, qualifications, and knowledge required

-Third level qualifications (Business, Finance or IT related fields)

-Effective Communication skills (both verbal and written) essential

-Strong skills in SQL, Excel and PowerPoint

-Strong analytic and reporting skills, highly numerate with the ability to solve complex problems

-Experience in a financial organisation an advantage
