IT Business Analyst- FMCG Industry

Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be working with one of Ireland's largest FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) firms, which is seeking a Business Analyst to join their IT development team. Experience working in a shared services or product-based organisation is beneficial. They are offering a fully remote position with occasional office visits.

The chosen candidate will work in the FMCG industry as an IT Business Analyst, delivering strategic projects focused on business operations, process models, and functionality.

The duties of the role involve:

  • Proficient in reading and writing SQL
  • Analysing and developing systems
  • Identifying and defending business requirements, functional specifications, and implementation methods
  • Establish stakeholder ownership and participation before, during, and after project completion.
  • Develop and document testing and user acceptance methodologies.
  • Illustrate 'AS-IS' and 'To Be'
  • Explain how the application's data pieces interact with one another


The roles Essential criteria:

  • 2:1 or above in an IT related field
  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role
  • Experience creating big software solutions in the manufacturing/food industries
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Ability to solve problems as well as analytic and critical thinking skills
  • PRINCE2 or similar management framework certification
  • Understanding of SAP is a plus.
