Job Description

This position involves delivering Business Consultancy and Analysis Services to the clients of this local, successful & innovative software business. This entails examining client needs and converting them into functional specifications for customers and design specifications for the software development team. Throughout the project lifecycle, the individual will provide valuable support to project development teams and the clients, ensuring their expectations are well-managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing and documenting client requirements.
  • Creating Functional Specifications and Design documents.
  • Resolving client issues and queries at both process and technical levels, proposing relevant approaches.
  • Assisting the Project Manager/Team Leader in estimation, creation, and allocation of development work packages using tools like Microsoft DevOps or JIRA.
  • Helping the development team understand client requirements, both functional and non-functional.
  • Supporting the development team in delivery and actively participating in key business activities likeSCRUM ceremonies.
  • Assisting the QA team in producing and verifying Test Scripts for ongoing development sprints.
  • Collaborating closely with the client, managing their expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assisting with pre-sales activities, including tender response preparation and client presentations.

Experience Required

  • Honours Degree in an IT/Business related field
  • Previous experience in a similar role providing business analysis/consultancy in a software development environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in adhering to project plans and managing change controls.
  • Proficient in delivering presentations tailored to the audience.
  • Experience working with remote teams.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • Effective communicator with a professional approach.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and make sound decisions under pressure, considering both client demands and commercial aspects.
  • Self-motivated and confident in working unsupervised.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
  • Positive and proactive attitude towards technical and commercial challenges.
