IT and Digital Support Officer
Location: Newry and Downpatrick (with travel across the district)
Salary: Circa £36,000 per annum
36 hours per week / generally M-F 9-5
Full time temporary role for 2 months+ / opportunity for extension and move to perm.
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT and Digital Support Officer to join a multidisciplinary IT team within a confidential public-sector organisation. The IT and Digital Support Officer will support, maintain, operate and develop IT and audio-visual services, playing a key role in live webcasting, digital communications and system integration.
This role would suit a technically skilled professional with strong audio-visual experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and support the organisation's audio-visual estate, including hardware, software and services.
Manage and control live webcasting of meetings and events, including delegate participation, agenda transitions and voting.
Provide first-line and advanced troubleshooting for complex IT and audio-visual faults.
Install, configure and maintain audio-visual solutions including projectors, LED screens and conference systems.
Support the operation and production of Microsoft Teams, Teams Live Events and Teams Webinars.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure digital content aligns with organisational policy, brand and objectives.
Patch, upgrade and secure audio-visual equipment in line with cyber security and IT policies.
Deliver training and technical guidance to employees and elected members.
Support the delivery of the organisation's Digital Strategy and future audio-visual developments.
Essential Criteria
Minimum Grade C in 4 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Level 4 qualification (e.g. HNC) or higher in Audio Visual Technology, Computing, Computer Science or IT.
At least 1 year's experience in an audio-visual / IT support role, including:
Live audio and video streaming/recording (multi-camera, 25+ microphones)
Microsoft Teams, Teams Live Events and Teams Webinars
Design, installation and maintenance of audio-visual systems
Projector and LED screen installation and troubleshooting
Windows-based systems
Willingness to travel and attend evening meetings as required.
Full driving licence and access to transport (or suitable alternative).
Desirable Criteria
AV qualifications such as AVIXA CTS, Polycom PCVE or equivalent.
Experience supporting MVI AudioVisual software.
Experience supporting BOSCH conference systems.
Event coordination, creative and design experience.
