Internal Audit Senior ACA

Vanrath are delighted to be partnering with a local client within a top 10 firm seeking to take on board a Internal Audit Senior ACA into their growing team in Belfast.

This role is ideally suited to a Newly Qualified Accountant seeking to progress within internal audit, ideally going in at a Internal Audit Senior ACA level. The role will offer progression into management and exposure to large companies and organisations across the UK & NI.

Responsibilities

• Understand and identify key risks within internal controls
• Draft audit planning documents for approval to be reviewed by management
• Coaching auditors and supporting them to realise their potential on the engagement
• Train and guide audit juniors and effectively monitor their work
• Assist management in ensuring assignments are completed on time and within budget
• To lead and supervise more junior staff on individual assignments including staff motivation, discipline and technical audit guidance
• To provide job training and guidance for auditors and training for more junior auditors
• To perform the audit of more complex and specialist areas
• To undertake review work in respect of significant findings

Criteria

• ACA/ACCA Qualified
• Audit trained with minimum 3 years experience
• Either an internal or external audit background
• Strong understanding of internal controls & procedures
