VANRATH are delighted to be supporting a local public sector organisation in the recruitment of an Interim Senior HR Advisor (Resourcing) to join our Corporate Services Directorate. In this role, you will support the HR Manager Resourcing to ensure effective delivery of all employee resourcing activities, contributing to our organisational mission.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Resourcing Initiatives: Manage day-to-day activities of the Resourcing Team and lead resourcing issues to ensure timely delivery of the workforce plan.
  • Policy Implementation: Ensure compliance with the Resourcing Policy, relevant legislation, and HR best practices.
  • Advisory Role: Provide senior advice and guidance to managers on employee resourcing issues, including recruitment and selection procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and update resourcing processes and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders like HR Business Partners and Organisation Development.
  • Compliance and Communication: Ensure timely communication with candidates and panels, and manage pre-employment checks effectively.


Essential Criteria

  • Qualifications:

    • Degree level qualification (Level 6) in Human Resource Management and minimum 2 years' HR experience, OR
    • Level 5 qualification in Human Resources and minimum 3 years' HR experience.

  • CIPD Membership: Current professional membership at Associate level or above, or the ability to obtain this within one year.
  • HR Expertise: Significant relevant experience in HR, particularly in employee resourcing, recruitment and selection, policy implementation, and process improvement.
  • Skills: Excellent planning, organisational, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Driving License: Possess a current driving license or have access to transport to meet the job requirements.


Desirable Criteria

  • Experience managing and leading a team.
  • Experience in planning and leading major recruitment campaigns.
  • Experience in local government or public sector.
