VANRATH is supporting a leading insurance brokerage in the recruitment of an Insurance Sales Executive (Agri). This role is a mix of client servicing and new business activity within the agricultural and rural sector. The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of clients, deliver exceptional service, and provide competitive insurance solutions to maximise retention and new business growth.
This position is ideal for someone with agricultural insurance experience who can balance client relationship management with commercial objectives in a regulated environment. (Multiple positions available)
The role comes at 2 salary levels, entry (<18 month experience, with aims to progress to the more senior salary within 12-24 months OR >18 months experience at the senior salary)
Key Responsibilities
Deliver new business, renewals, and, where applicable, cross-sell/up-sell targets, meeting or exceeding budgeted goals
Conduct detailed fact-finding with clients and prospects to identify risks and coverage gaps, liaising with insurers to provide tailored quotations and convert opportunities into business
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and system documentation, ensuring all interactions, negotiations, and policy documentation meet company and regulatory standards
Build and nurture strong client relationships to maximise retention and satisfaction throughout the policy lifecycle
Identify opportunities for additional covers, and collaborate with internal colleagues to present, quote, and convert these where appropriate
Work closely with portfolio managers and internal teams to clearly define responsibilities for client servicing and new business development
Keep technical knowledge of farm and ancillary insurance products up to date, maintaining awareness of sector developments through insurer engagement, industry press, and colleague discussions
Support accounts colleagues with premium collection and aged debt management
Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations, including complaints handling, policy documentation, and disclosure obligations

Candidate Requirements
Experience in agricultural or rural insurance
Strong client relationship management and commercial skills
Knowledge of FCA-regulated processes and requirements
Confident communicator with ability to work across teams and liaise effectively with clients and insurers
