My client, a global provider of financial market infrastructure, is hiring an IAS Analyst to join an established trading systems support team based in the UK. This is a key role within an existing technology function, supporting and implementing critical electronic trading platforms in a fast-paced, business-facing environment.

You will be part of a global technology team responsible for supporting mission-critical trading applications that underpin high-volume electronic trading. The organisation is passionate about leveraging technology to deliver reliable, innovative market access, liquidity, and data solutions.
As an IAS Analyst, you will focus on Level 2 application support and system implementation, working closely with Development, QA, and senior engineering teams. You will support production and non-production environments, automate monitoring and deployment processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across trading systems.


The Role


  • Monitor and support trading applications, ensuring system stability and performance

  • Act as second-line support for incidents and service requests escalated from the business

  • Perform installations, upgrades, bug fixes, and enhancements in line with defined change processes

  • Build and configure applications with required third-party tools across staging and production environments

  • Develop scripts using Shell, PowerShell, Perl, and SQL to automate deployments, monitoring, and system health checks

  • Create and maintain operational documentation, including runbooks and troubleshooting guides

  • Participate in production issue calls, change reviews, and upcoming project discussions

  • Manage changes through the full change lifecycle, ensuring compliance and documentation

  • Support incident and request queues in line with ITIL-based support frameworks

The Person


Essential:


  • Strong experience with Windows Server environments

  • Unix / Linux experience (preferably power-user level)

  • SQL experience (including T-SQL and database management tools)

  • Working knowledge of networking tools (SSH, SFTP, traceroute)

  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Perl)

  • Solid understanding of change management processes

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tooling

  • Strong grasp of ITIL-based support processes (Incident, Change, Request, Problem)

  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills

  • Proven experience deploying software into controlled environments


Desirable:


  • Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible, CI/CD pipelines)

  • Exposure to HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

  • Additional experience working with relational databases
