We are working with one of the UK's leading defence litigation firms, seeking an ambitious and driven Industrial Disease Solicitor to join their expanding Northern Ireland team. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility while working for a highly respected practice that has grown consistently since 2019. The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a market-leading organisation representing many of the UK's top insurance clients, with an industry-leading salary and excellent benefits on offer.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong client relationships, attending relevant client meetings.
Manage service delivery and quality for key industrial disease clients.
Support the firm's profile in the Disease litigation market through marketing content, articles/blogs, training, and seminars.
Handle your own caseload of high-value, complex, or nominated cases, working to agreed performance targets for chargeable hours and billing.
Contribute to contract tender submissions.
Assist in developing key strategies to address opponent behaviours.
Working Hours:
35 hours per week, hybrid working model with a mix of office-based and remote working.
Primary location: Belfast office.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor with proven experience in civil litigation (plaintiff or defence).
Strong ability to prioritise workload with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable using case management systems.
Desirable Experience:
Background in litigated defendant insurance work up to, particularly industrial disease claims (HAVS, Mesothelioma, Plaques and Asbestosis, Dermatitis, hearing loss).
Experience contributing to tenders and pricing processes.
Proven track record of teamwork within a legal environment.
