Job Description

We are delighted to be recruiting for an IT Technician who will support the IT Manager. The post holder will be responsible for the support and delivery of an extensive range of Information Technology (IT) Systems within this leading public body organisation.

As a member of the IT Team, the successful post holder will provide support and assistance for the implementation, operation and improvement of the HSCNI IT Systems and Services.

The Post Holder will be a member of a team that is responsible, through the HSCNI's ICT Manager, for the, managing and resolving incidents as they arise on the Trusts ICT Infrastructure, ICT Systems, remote access solutions and telephone systems.

Salary/ Benefits
Equivalent to Band 5 Point 1 of HSCNI scale at c£25,655 + holiday and pension

Client

Our client is a large health based sector client, seeking to improve the health and wellbeing of the Northern Irish public. They apply the highest levels of knowledge and skill to preserve life, prevent deterioration and promote recovery.

Responsibilities:

  1. In conjunction with the IT Manager and Assistant Director ICT, develop and implement the HSCNI's IT strategy and related policies in conjunction, to ensure the delivery of effective and efficient IT and Radio/Telephony Services to achieve its objectives."
  2. Provide end user support and undertake complex fault diagnosis and resolution for the full range of IT Systems within HSCNI ensuring that assigned faults are managed in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  3. Undertake routine maintenance and fault analysis, diagnosis and resolution for the full range of IT and Telephony Services in use within HSCNI.
  4. Provide Primary Frontline support for all of the Hardware and Software used by both of the HSCNI's Control Rooms and all associated services;
  5. Maintain and develop Active Directory and Email accounts across HSCNI directed by ICT Manager.
  6. Maintain and develop the AVAYA VOIP telephone System and all associated hardware as directed by ICT Manager.
  7. Support and maintain the HSCNI's Smartphone and Tablet systems, ensuring that individual devices such as iPhones and iPads are properly configured and issued to staff and giving appropriate handover training for these. Maintain and develop the backend Airwatch portals/servers as directed by ICT Manager.
  8. Assist with the Installation, configuration and Management of the various Network Hardware and switches in use by HSCNI.
  9. Assist with the Installation, configuration and Management of the Trust's network firewalls and the HSCNI's Email and Internet Traffic Management systems.
  10. Respond appropriately to any Cybersecurity threats in or out-of-hours, and deploy appropriate ICT Cyber measures as directed by ICT Manager or Senior IT on-call.
