VANRATH are delighted to be assisting a fantastic FMCG (Food) based company with the recruitment of a Hygiene Manager. Fantastic company to work in.
This will be based in the Company's site in Newry - Permanent Role
Monday - Friday position - Afternoon Start Time
Salary:
£45,000 - £55,000 + Fantastic Benefits Package - Yearly Salary Reviews - Progression Opportunities
Main Duties:
Work collaboratively with the Hygiene team on daily operations.
Notify the Head of Department about any staffing concerns or issues.
Provide hands-on training and guidance for newly hired operatives.
Carry out comprehensive facility checks as per daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, covering all relevant machinery, equipment, and other requested areas.
Ensure adequate staffing is arranged to cover absences and holidays, and coordinate with the Quality Manager for approval of any new roles.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Organise and oversee all hygiene and cleaning processes on site.
Ensure hygiene protocols are consistently met and upheld.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure all operational needs are fulfilled.
Oversee the hygiene team to guarantee top-tier visual and microbiological cleanliness is maintained throughout all site areas.
Ensure thorough documentation of all cleaning procedures.
Adhere to hygiene, food safety, quality, and health & safety standards, as well as company policies.
Track and report KPI data on a monthly basis.
Maintain a constant state of audit readiness across the site.
Skills:
Familiarity with HACCP principles
Strong understanding of the product
Ability to meet product specifications with accuracy and efficiency
