VANRATH are proud to be working with a very reputable construction firm originating from Northern Ireland with over 40 years in business, who are searching for a HSEQ Manager to join their expanding team and work on local projects. The right candidate will work on projects throughout Ireland and UK with limited travel required.

The role:

  • Oversee Health and Safety management throughout the construction group.
  • The selected candidate will ensure team members adhere to compliance requirements and maintain updated company matrices.
  • The chosen candidate will review and populate CPP and RAMs, ensuring team members fully grasp their obligations.
  • The designated individual will provide education and support to team members across the organisation on H&S issues, conduct toolbox talks, and implement safety measures.
  • The responsible party will hold full accountability for the Health & Safety standards within the construction business.
  • The designated individual will conduct inductions for new team members, ensuring completion of paperwork and retention in company records.
  • The selected candidate will provide training, development, and retention initiatives for team members concerning all H&S matters.
  • Manage the annual renewal process for company accreditations (Construction line, CHAS, ISO, etc.).

What you need:

  • A solid grasp of the building industry.
  • Someone who's adaptable and dynamic.
  • Good understanding of H&S procedures and work practices.
  • Know the basics of environmental and health and safety regulations.
  • Being able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to lead a team effectively but also work well as part of a team.
  • Having a knack for spotting potential risks and dealing with them early is essential.
