HR Officer (Manufacturing)

Job Description

Role: HR Officer
Location: Antrim, Northern Ireland
Type: Full-time | Permanent
Reports to: HR Manager
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead attendance and absence management, collaborating with line and factory managers to proactively reduce absenteeism.
  • Support workforce planning in partnership with operational leaders to align staffing with production needs.
  • Drive employee engagement and well-being initiatives to support a positive workplace culture.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, prepare reports, and assist with payroll-related processes.
  • Ensure ongoing HR compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Assist with performance management, guiding managers through appraisals and improvement plans.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding across factory and office-based roles.
  • Coordinate training and development programmes, ensuring compliance and progression.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
  • Solid HR experience within a manufacturing or fast-paced operational environment.
  • Confident working with factory and operational managers to support day-to-day workforce matters.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with HR systems.
