Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Greater Belfast
Salary / Range: Up to £36,000
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Summary
VANRATH are supporting a Manufacturer in Greater Belfast in their search for an HR Officer who will deliver hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle.
What do you need?
- CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent HR experience
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally supporting multiple teams or locations
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
- Experience advising managers on day-to-day HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and absence
- Exposure to change management or organisational development initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
What you will do each day
- Provide practical HR support to managers and employees, acting as a trusted point of contact
- Manage recruitment processes, from drafting role profiles to coordinating interviews and offers
- Support the onboarding of new employees, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure HR systems are up to date
- Monitor absence and support managers in managing attendance effectively
- Assist with HR reporting and provide insights to help improve people processes
- Advise and guide managers on employee relations matters and company policies
- Contribute to HR projects, such as engagement initiatives, wellbeing programmes, and policy updates
- Help develop and improve HR processes, ensuring consistency and compliance
- Promote a positive workplace culture and support diversity and inclusion initiatives
