Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Greater Belfast
Salary / Range: Up to £36,000
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Summary
VANRATH are supporting a Manufacturer in Greater Belfast in their search for an HR Officer who will deliver hands-on HR support across the employee lifecycle.

What do you need?

  • CIPD Level 5 or above, or equivalent HR experience
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally supporting multiple teams or locations
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience advising managers on day-to-day HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and absence
  • Exposure to change management or organisational development initiatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems

What you will do each day

  • Provide practical HR support to managers and employees, acting as a trusted point of contact
  • Manage recruitment processes, from drafting role profiles to coordinating interviews and offers
  • Support the onboarding of new employees, ensuring a smooth and positive experience
  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure HR systems are up to date
  • Monitor absence and support managers in managing attendance effectively
  • Assist with HR reporting and provide insights to help improve people processes
  • Advise and guide managers on employee relations matters and company policies
  • Contribute to HR projects, such as engagement initiatives, wellbeing programmes, and policy updates
  • Help develop and improve HR processes, ensuring consistency and compliance
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and support diversity and inclusion initiatives
