Job Title: HR Officer

Location: Newry
Salary / Range: Up to £35,000 Full Time equivalent
Contract Type: Permanent, Part-Time, 9am-5pm 3 days/week

Summary
VANRATH are delighted to partner with a client in Newry, who are seeking an experienced and proactive HR professional to manage all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.

What do you need?

  • Proven experience in an HR Generalist role, with hands-on experience in recruitment and employee relations.
  • CIPD qualification or actively working towards one.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices, NI employment legislation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, ensuring compliance with legislation and organisational standards.
  • Deliver effective onboarding and support for new starters.
  • Act as a trusted HR contact, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee matters.
  • Handle employee relations issues, including performance, conduct, absence, conflict resolution, and grievances.
  • Oversee HR administration, maintain accurate personnel records, and manage right-to-work requirements.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning, development, and career growth opportunities.
  • Provide insights and reports to leadership on HR trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
