Job Title: HR Officer
Location: Armagh
Salary / Range: Up to £37,000
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Summary
- Proven experience in an HR Officer or HR Generalist role
- Strong working knowledge of recruitment processes and employee relations case management
- Sound understanding of employment law, HR policies, and best practice
- Experience advising managers on employee relations issues including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Ability to manage end-to-end recruitment campaigns, from role scoping to onboarding
- High level of accuracy with HR administration, record keeping, and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and HR systems
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion
- CIPD qualification is desirable
What you will do each day
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activity, including job adverts, shortlisting, interviews, offers, and onboarding
- Act as a first point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations matters
- Support and advise on disciplinary, grievance, absence, and performance management cases
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems
- Support managers with probation reviews, appraisals, and ongoing performance discussions
- Monitor absence and other employee relations metrics, producing reports and insights
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment legislation
- Support employee engagement initiatives and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Assist with HR projects, audits, and compliance activities as required
