Role: HR Generalist - Permanent - Monaghan

Job Overview
VANRATH is delighted to partner with a returning client in Monaghan to appoint a dedicated HR Generalist. This role provides key support to the HR team, assisting with recruitment, absence management, performance management, employee relations, and engagement activities. You will help ensure smooth HR operations and maintain accurate records, playing an important part in delivering HR initiatives across the business.

What you'll do:

  • Keep track of employee absences, arrange welfare support, and ensure return-to-work procedures are followed.
  • Help with recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and legal work eligibility checks; attend careers events.
  • Organise employee engagement activities, forums, and internal communications.
  • Support investigations, grievances, probation reviews, and performance discussions.
  • Give HR advice and answer employee questions.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, trackers, and reports.
  • Assist with health and safety administration and HR projects.
  • Manage employee lifecycle tasks, including induction, system enrolment, and exit processes.

What you'll need:

  • At least 1 year of proven experience as an HR Generalist.
  • Strong experience in managing employee absences and conducting investigations.
  • Good knowledge of employment law and practical experience applying it in the workplace.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR systems.
