Salary: £34,000 - £36,000
Contract: Permanent, full-time

Summary

VANRATH is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an HR Consultant to provide high-quality, practical HR advice and employee relations support. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers, offering clear guidance on people matters and ensuring consistent, compliant and fair outcomes across the organisation.

What do you need?

• CIPD Level 5
• A minimum of three years' experience in a generalist HR or HR advisory role, with significant exposure to employee relations casework.
• Strong working knowledge of employment law and best practice HR guidance.
• Proven ability to advise and support managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence and capability matters.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to provide clear, balanced and pragmatic advice.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
• High attention to detail and the ability to work with discretion and confidentiality.

What you will do each day

• Provide timely, accurate HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of people and employee relations matters.
• Manage and support employee relations cases from initial query through to resolution, ensuring consistency and legal compliance.
• Coach and guide managers through HR processes, building capability and confidence in handling people issues.
• Support the interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures, ensuring best practice is followed.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR policies, templates and guidance materials.
• Identify recurring people issues and trends, escalating risks and recommending practical solutions.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to support a positive employee relations culture across the organisation.
