Are you a confident HR professional with strong expertise in employee relations and policy development? We're working with a well-known public sector body to recruit an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to deliver high-impact HR solutions across a diverse and mission-driven organisation.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead advisory role, supporting senior management and influencing business outcomes in a highly respected public sector body.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior managers across departments to deliver proactive, solutions-focused HR advice
- Lead complex employee relations casework (grievance, discipline, dignity at work, attendance)
- Support organisational change, workforce planning, and well-being initiatives
- Develop and implement HR policies and contribute to HR project delivery
- Collaborate with Trade Unions and act as HR rep at hearings, investigations, and tribunals
- Produce reports, identify trends, and recommend HR interventions
- Support resourcing and learning activities aligned to business goals
- Represent the HR Manager/Senior HRBP and ensure service resilience across the team
Essential Criteria:
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (e.g. Postgraduate Diploma in HRM)
- Associate CIPD membership (or commitment to achieving this within 12 months)
- 3+ years' experience delivering HR advice on complex employee relations issues to senior management
- Significant expertise in at least four of the following areas:
- Attendance Management
- Grievance/Dignity at Work
- Disciplinary Cases
- HR Policy Development
- HR Project Delivery
- Strong working knowledge of employment law
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
- Valid driving licence or access to suitable transport for NI-wide travel
Desirable:- Chartered CIPD Member (MCIPD)
- Experience with mediation or dispute resolution
- Background in local government or public sector HR
- Experience working with trade unions
