VANRATH is exclusively partnering with a leading NI business located in County L/Derry, to appoint a HR Business Partner to the team, on a full-time permanent basis.

You will be based in the Northwest HQ, but support sites in Belfast and UK mainland, with travel to Belfast once a week, and travel to UK, once a month.

The Role

The role will partner with senior leaders to develop and execute HR plans focused on workforce planning, employee engagement, performance and talent management.

To be successful in this role you must understand business priorities and translate them into the HR agenda to support the long-term business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices aligned to business objectives
  • Offer thought leadership regarding organisational and people-related planning and deployment
  • Leading a HR team of 2, ensuring an effective and proactive HR service on site
  • Supporting management team members on complex people management and employee relations issues
  • Ensuring key stakeholders are informed/consulted on relevant business proposals
  • Reporting and analysing HR information, ensuring reporting requirements are satisfied through the provision of management information
  • Educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and employee development planning
  • Maintaining a clear understanding and up to date knowledge of the latest legal developments and updating/developing HR policies and processes in line with current legislation and best practice
  • Provide HR expertise in employee relations, development and coaching, engagement and compensation
  • Ownership for compiling annual labour budget and management of HR budget spend

The Person

  • CIPD qualified Level 5(preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years in a generalist HR role, with experience of supporting a multi-site business.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, including union relations
  • Excellent attention to detail and fully conversant with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience of mediating and successfully managing conflict resolution
  • Resilient under pressure and able to deal with ambiguity
  • Independent thinker with strong decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of the organisation to drive change.
