The Ideal Person

If you've 3 + years' experience working in a HR environment and you're looking for an opportunity to step into a more senior role:

  • Degree or equivalent in Human Resources, business or other relevant subject;
  • A minimum of 3 years' of general experience in at least 3 of the following areas;
  • Providing HR support and advice to management;
  • Developing and implementing HR Policies & Procedures;
  • Recruitment and selection;
  • Training planning and organisational development
  • Associate membership of the CIPD

Responsibilities

As HR Advisor you will:

  • Further development and implementation of a HR Strategy which will support the achievement of the Organisation Business Plan and enable the achievement of objectives and targets;
  • Provision of timely advice and guidance on HR and related employment law issues to management as required;
  • Review, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures as required and in line with any changes in the legislation;
  • Provision of high quality recruitment, selection and induction of employees in a timely and cost effective manner;
  • Liaison with external payroll provider on payroll and pension related matters;
  • Development, implementation, monitoring and review of an efficient and effective performance management framework which will promote continuous improvement and supports management and staff in the achievement of targets and objectives;
  • Development of a learning and organisational development plan which will address agreed learning and development needs of staff within budgetary constraints and requirements;
  • Promote, develop and maintain an effective and positive employee relations culture that supports agreed change and enables the development of the service while establishing he organsiation as an employer of choice;
  • Play a leading role in the established engagement processes with employee representatives and recognised trade unions;
