Job Title: HR Advisor (12 months FTC)
Location: Antrim
Salary: 330-33k DOE
Duration: Full Time / Maternity Cover / Hybrid
WH: 9-5 Monday-Friday

VANRATH are partnering with a global construction company based in Antrim as they seek to appoint a HR Advisor to cover a period of Maternity Leave for 12 months.


What you'll do:

* Recruitment management - ensuring a smooth and efficient recruitment process from the sourcing of candidates through to job offer and induction.

* Support the HR Manager and management team with employee relations matters including disciplinary investigations, grievances, absence management and welfare issues.

* Assist in devising and delivering a training and development plan throughout the company and providing support for development programmes such as apprenticeships, graduate training, work experience and student placements.

* Manage the leaver process ensuring appropriate paperwork and arrangements are in place and conduct exit interviews.

* Coordination of employee appraisals to track performance and identify training opportunities

* Action employee transfers, promotions and other changes.

Advise employees and managers on terms & conditions and HR issues.

* Contribute to the development and revision of new policies and procedures

* Maintain adequate HR records in line with GDPR & contribute to monthly reports as required

* Pro-actively support Company-wide initiatives to motivate, retain and engage staff

* Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within the individual's sphere of Knowledge, experience or competency


About you:

  • CIPD Level 5
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a HR role
  • Experience of providing professional HR advice and guidance on Employee Relations matters.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of employment law and best practice HR.
