VANRATH is excited to be working alongside one of Northern Ireland's leading childcare and health organisations, in the search for their next permanent HR Advisor based out of their Belfast HQ.


The Role

This is a brand new role within the group, reporting directly to the HR Manager with key responsibilities for the HR function withing one of the Group's Business Units. You will work in a professional manner within the nurseries team and will assist with the efficient and effective running of the Human Resources Department.

The Person

Essential

  • Strong generalist human resources experience
  • Experience of conducting Disciplinary and Grievance Hearings and Investigatory Meetings
  • Track record of success in employee relations

Skill Requirements

Essential

  • Strong people skills with the ability to build and develop relationships with Management and staff across all business
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of employment law
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
  • Patient, tactful, diplomatic and approachable
  • Respects the importance of confidentiality
  • The ability to stay calm in difficult situations
  • Flexible and pro-active approach
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

Qualifications

Desirable

  • CIPD qualified or part qualified
  • Third level qualification in a HR/ Business related discipline

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing HR advice and support to the business managers and staff on policies, procedures, sickness absence, grievance, maternity, flexible working, and employment law
  • Conducting Disciplinary & Grievance Hearings
  • Investigating and reporting sickness/ absence patterns
  • Conducting Employment Investigatory Meetings
  • Advising Managers and employees on maternity and parental rights
  • Recruitment & Selection
  • Change Management
  • Assisting the HR Manager with the implementation of updated Company Policies and Procedures
  • Performance Management
