Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large not-for-profit organisation in Ballymoney with the recruitment of a Housing Advisor to join their growing team on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5.


£23,184 per year + fantastic benefits


  • To provide an excellent customer service by acting as the first point of contact for tenants and other customers.
  • Deal with house sales enquiries by providing information on the organisation's policies.
  • Generating offers of housing accomodation and assisting housing officers in the allocation process.
  • Creating and maintaining tenancy records.
  • To provide advice and guidance to tenants and customers relating to complaints about service quality.
  • Processing rent payments from tenants.
  • Scheduling appointments for Housing Officers to deal with more complex housing issues.
  • Establish and maintain manual and electronic records and filing systems.
  • Assisting with promoting the service by designing leaflets & updating information on the website.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience working in a busy office environment
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience working in a customer service role.
  • Experience of preparing reports for management.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative systems.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to plan and meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English Language and Maths

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of working in a housing management department.
  • 2 A Level Qualifications.
  • Chartered Institute of Housing Level 3 Award in Housing.
