Job Description: We are seeking a skilled HGV Driver to join our client's waste collection team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating large refuse collection vehicles in Northern Ireland to collect and transport waste materials from designated locations. The ideal candidate will have a full, current Category C driving license, a valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC), and relevant work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate large refuse collection vehicles in Northern Ireland to collect and transport waste materials according to established routes and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and traffic laws while operating vehicles.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues to maintenance staff.
  • Assist with the loading and unloading of waste materials using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of waste collection activities, including quantities collected and locations serviced.
  • Interact professionally and courteously with members of the public while performing duties.

Qualifications:

  • Full, current Category C driving license enabling operation of appropriate large refuse collection vehicles in Northern Ireland.
  • Valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC).
  • Atleastsixmonths' relevant work experience in each of the following two areas:
    • Driving a LGV in a commercial or public sector environment.
    • Dealing directly with members of the public, in person.
