About the Role

We are recruiting experienced HGV Drivers to support a public sector environmental services team delivering essential street cleansing, refuse, and recycling operations. This is a frontline operational role supporting clean and safe communities.

Key Responsibilities

Drive and operate allocated HGV vehicles safely and in compliance with road traffic legislation
Transport crew members and equipment across designated routes
Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and defect reporting
Support refuse collection, recycling, sweeping, and bulky waste operations as required
Assist with street cleansing tasks including litter collection, washing, and gum removal
Ensure public and crew safety at all times during operations
Complete relevant logs, mileage, fuel, and inspection records

Requirements

Valid HGV licence (appropriate category)
CPC and digital tachograph card
Previous experience in waste, cleansing, or local authority services preferred
Strong awareness of health & safety and public-facing working environments
