Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in managing HSE responsibilities within the Manufacturing and Assembly or Warehousing sectors. They will possess demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and continuously enhancing effective HSE programs across complex and large-scale operational environments.

The successful applicant will be experienced in working collaboratively with cross-functional project teams throughout all stages of manufacturing and assembly. Key areas of expertise will include conducting risk assessments, performing site inspections, monitoring regulatory compliance, and leading incident investigations with a focus on root cause analysis and preventative action.

A key strength will be the ability to influence and engage with stakeholders at all levels, promoting a proactive and positive safety culture across the business. This role requires a strategic mindset and the capability to ensure HSE principles are not only followed but fully integrated into operational planning and project delivery.
The position also involves close collaboration with senior leadership, clients, and geographically dispersed teams, ensuring health, safety, and environmental considerations are embedded from project initiation through to completion and ongoing facility operations.

The Ideal Candidate:

    • Demonstrable experience as an HSE Officer (3 years minimum) or similar role within manufacturing and assembly facilities or similar, understanding their unique HSE challenges.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of local and national, HSE regulations and standards relevant to manufacturing and assembly operations.
    • Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA standards, and environmental compliance requirements. Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH Certificate and equivalent environmental qualifications.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and continuously improve robust HSE management systems, policies, and procedures tailored for manufacturing and assembly environments.
    • Excellent communication skills to influence, train, and engage multidisciplinary teams, senior management, and client stakeholders.
    • Capability to oversee HSE activities across multiple facilities in different locations, managing priorities effectively.
