The Role:

As the Health & Safety Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the site remains fully compliant with all relevant legislation, while continuously improving health and safety standards across departments. From audits and investigations to training and reporting, you'll play a central role in embedding a culture of safety at every level.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and enforce compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies

  • Conduct regular site audits and departmental inspections, recording and addressing findings

  • Draft and maintain method statements and risk assessments tailored to operational needs

  • Identify potential hazards and develop practical risk mitigation strategies

  • Lead safety meetings, briefings, and present performance updates to senior management

  • Manage incident investigations and follow through with corrective action plans

  • Coordinate on boarding and ongoing safety training, including toolbox talks

  • Oversee accurate documentation and record-keeping for audits and inspections

  • Act as the key contact for regulatory bodies, third-party auditors, and internal reviews

  • Track safety metrics including incidents, near misses, and compliance reports

  • Ensure PPE and other safety equipment is readily available and correctly used

  • Support emergency preparedness and drill planning


What You'll Bring:

  • NEBOSH Certificate (or similar recognised qualification)

  • 3+ years' experience in a dedicated health and safety role

  • Hands-on experience conducting risk assessments and incident reports

  • Excellent knowledge of safety standards and best practices within industrial or supply settings

  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, HR, and senior stakeholders
