About you

  • Hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role, ideally within construction, maintenance, or public-sector environments
  • Membership of IOSH or working towards it
  • Proven experience conducting audits, site inspections, and incident investigations
  • Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Full driving licence and access to transport for site visits
  • Excellent report-writing, IT skills, and attention to detail

What you'll do

  • Develop, review, and implement health & safety policies and procedures across operational sites
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and compliance checks to ensure site safety
  • Produce reports, corrective actions, and monitor follow-up measures
  • Deliver health & safety training sessions and promote awareness among staff and contractors
  • Support risk assessments, including COSHH, manual handling, DSE, and general risk management
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and contribute to RIDDOR submissions
  • Provide professional advice on health & safety legislation and best practices
  • Liaise with internal teams, external agencies, and regulatory bodies
  • Attend meetings and provide expert input on safety matters
