Head of Risk and Compliance - WFH - 70k (EMI License)

Job Description

VANRATH are assisting with the recruitment of a Head of Risk and Compliance for a leading financial services payments company, that places immense value on their staff.

Working From Home - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday all at home) - This firm offers real progression opportunities alongside some of the best benefits in Northern Ireland. This role can also offer a 4-day working week if preferred.

Permanent position.

Salary:

£60,000 - £70,000 + Fantastic Benefits Package & Salary Reviews

Responsibilities:

    • Monitor adherence and work with the business on compliance related matters
    • Assess compliance risks and the associated controls.
    • Provide accurate and timely compliance support and advice to the business on ad-hoc queries and in managing compliance requirements
    • Monitor regulatory environment and complete analysis, which may include in-depth and complex research, fact finding and analysis.
    • Review and assess compliance requirements on business projects, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements arising from projects and business initiatives are being considered and included within project scope.
    • Establish and support the implementation of new compliance initiatives, policies and procedures.
    • Co-ordinate and complete compliance policy and procedure reviews and communicate updates as required.
    • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of regulatory returns and notifications as required.

Requirements

  • Previous hands-on experience in a dynamic risk/compliance role, ideally within a cross border multilingual environment
  • Previous experience of application for EMI ( Electronic Money Institution ) licensing and FCA ( Financial Conduct Authority) oversight protocols in the UK
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within Financial services/Payments/Fintech environment within the UK
  • Clear understanding of the current regulatory and compliance environment
