Head of IT Position
Our client is seeking a Head of IT to join their team, the role will report directly to the Managing Director. This position offers the opportunity to be part of the Senior Management Team and provides a chance for personal and professional growth within the company. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their skill set through numerous opportunities offered by the company. This role is ideal for a manager who is comfortable being hands-on along with being comfortable with having a team of two colleagues to support the IT and business process needs of the company.
The role
The successful candidate will:
- Operate and maintain ERP systems to support and optimize the business
- Monitor and maintain company business systems, support hardware and software, and solve technical issues as they arise
- Manage trading interfaces with customers and suppliers
- Support all peripheral IT and data-related requirements for the business
- Define business processes and use technology to optimize business efficiency
- Understand data relationships and how to use them to support the business
- Have relevant knowledge of cybersecurity and the risks and mitigating solutions for the business
The Ideal Person
The ideal person will:
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Office 365
- Have experience implementing private or public cloud solutions and moving applications to the cloud (advantageous)
- Be familiar with warehouse management systems (advantageous)
- Have knowledge of virtualization and, in particular, the Microsoft Hypervisor product (HyperV)
- Understand hardware and networking, including servers, SAN, WAN, LAN, WLAN, etc.
- Can work with SQL
- Have experience with BI tools such as Power BI and developing reports/dashboards using BI tools
