Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Finance will be responsible for leading the finance function, taking responsibility for management of a finance team, overall responsibility for monthly and yearly accounts preparation, and managing all banking relationships. If you are a Qualified Accountant with 5+ years' experience of leading a finance team, ideally within an SME environment, this could be the ideal role.
This role is initially on a 6-month contract basis, however, the organisation will need someone on a long-term basis, and this has the opportunity to become permanent.

About you
- Qualified Accountant with 5+ years in senior leadership role
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal & external stakeholders
- Ability to influence and negotiate with senior management team
- A 'hands-on' manager, with an ability to be involved in the daily detail management skills
- Available at short notice
What you'll do
- Daily oversight of finance team, ensuring all deliverables are met in line with agreed timescales
- Ownership of month end reporting process
- Preparation of financial models for rolling budgets, cashflow forecasts
- Preparing board reports and reporting to senior management team
- Managing relationships with banks and investors
- Overall ownership of business financials
