Head of Digital Transformation - IT Programme Manager (£34,000 - £47,000 & enhanced public body benefits package).

VANRATH are excited to be working closely with an established public body organisation to appoint a newly created Head of Digital Transformation Programme Manager.

The successful postholder will be responsible for delivering a digital transformation strategy including leading on introducing a digital culture, infrastructure and increasing capability across the organisation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing a user led approach and a model that brings the whole organisation together and increases the digital skills of our staff, volunteers and participants.

Your priorities will be to manage a complex, cross-organisational digital transformation programme of work, realising strategic benefits to the full and ensuring the programme is governed effectively.

This is an 18-months contract role.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be required to work with the Directors and directly reporting into the CEO.

  1. Lead and managing a complex, cross-organisational digital transformation programme of work, working closely with strategic delivery partner(s) and stakeholders across the organisation
  2. Working with key stakeholders to manage the programme, and to realise expected benefits, including; planning and control, stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, budget management, governance and reporting
  3. Ensuring business requirements from multiple areas are integrated and prioritised to deliver strategic benefits
  4. Being a key member of the Executive Team/SMT and other relevant groups to manage impact on other strategic programmes and other programme dependencies, risks and issues
  5. Working with external agencies and service users to ensure the overall success of the programme and achievement of agreed deliverable, timescales and benefits
  6. Developing and delivering products and programmes on time, overseeing the development of a programme plan, including associated reporting, risk plan, stakeholder analysis and communication plan, and ensure that the plan is adequately resourced, developing business cases as required
  7. Mentor, manage and support a growing digital culture.
  8. Bring together and maximise diverse skill sets across the organisation
  9. Understand a range of software / digital tools that could be employed to support

The Ideal Person

  1. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  2. Proven experience of implementing organisational digital transformation.
  3. Experience of managing elements of a departmental budget and/or individual project budget.
  4. Proven experience in digital project management to deliver on joint KPI's and goals.

Desirable

  1. 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in project management leading diverse teams to achieve goals.
  2. Knowledge and understanding of software development / technology innovation
  3. Creative and innovative, and passionate about supporting our participant journey through a digital lens.

Remuneration

£34,000 - £47,000 & enhanced benefit's package
