Head of Contract Sales

VANRATH are pleased to be working with an industry leading Manufacturer who looking to recruit a Head of Contract Sales to lead the expansion and management of high-value contracts / key accounts across Ireland. Delivering commercial success through strategic partnerships, exceptional customer service, and innovative sales strategies.

The Role

  • Drive commercial performance by growing revenue from existing high-value accounts through tailored promotions, targeted training, and the successful introduction of new products.
  • Identify and secure new national contract opportunities, expanding the company's customer base.
  • Foster long-term partnerships with key clients, aligning closely with both operational and commercial priorities.
  • Oversee budgets tied to displays, sample stock, marketing collateral, and customer site visits.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure the delivery of a first-class customer journey.
  • Provide engaging product training and compelling proposals to improve understanding of the company's offerings.
  • Use sales data and customer insights to shape commercial strategies and uncover up-selling and cross-selling prospects.
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to support accurate sales forecasting and maintain stock availability.
  • Build relationships with architects, specifiers, developers, and Tier 1 contractors to drive brand preference.
  • Act as a company ambassador at trade shows, seminars, and industry networking events.
  • Host visitors and deliver product demonstrations at company premises to strengthen client engagement.
  • Regularly report on sales performance and strategic direction to senior stakeholders.
  • Exemplify company values through effective leadership, a meticulous approach, and a focus on results.

The Ideal Candidate

  • High level knowledge and experience of contract sales, specifications etc.
  • Over five years' experience in senior sales, commercial operations, or account management within a B2B setting.
  • Demonstrated success in securing new business, growing existing accounts, and delivering on contractual commitments.
  • Skilled in developing strategic sales plans that drive incremental growth and boost profitability.
  • Exceptional at building and managing customer relationships while consistently achieving and surpassing sales objectives.
  • Proficient in using KPIs, performance metrics, and tracking tools to evaluate and enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Open to frequent travel throughout Ireland, including occasional overnight stays as required.
