This will be a remote working role, with occasional trips to office and to clients.

Monday - Friday working.

Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role will take ownership of sales strategy and client relationship management across our electrical switchgear, modular solutions, and power distribution range, with a focus on the European data centre sector. Leveraging your market insight, you will play a key role in driving business growth, expanding revenue streams, and uncovering both new and ongoing sales opportunities.

  • Drive profitable sales growth by implementing effective strategies that maximise revenue for the switchgear product portfolio.
  • Seek out and convert fresh business opportunities through well-defined plans and targeted lead management.
  • Develop strong, lasting relationships with contractors, key accounts, and prospective customers to build trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Oversee tender and bid strategies for major data centre projects on both a regional and global scale, ensuring competitiveness and technical accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Estimating team to prepare sales tenders, utilising company systems and tools to deliver accurate and timely submissions.
  • Monitor industry movements, competitor behaviour, and evolving customer needs to spot market gaps and emerging opportunities.
  • Produce and deliver compelling proposals, including technical specifications and commercial pricing, tailored to client requirements.
  • Provide expert technical guidance to customers, offering tailored solutions that address their operational challenges.
  • Manage the sales funnel efficiently offers promptly and following through to secure confirmed orders.
  • Track and analyse sales performance, compile reports for senior leadership, and forecast future activity to inform strategy.

The Ideal Person:

  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in sales and business development, including at least 2-3 years dedicated to low-voltage switchgear sales.
  • Established connections and a well-developed professional network within the data centre sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning large-scale, high-value data centre contracts.
  • Preferably holds a Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Comfortable engaging with both technical specialists and senior executives, with strong commercial and technical communication skills.
