Main aims:
- Take full ownership of the annual sales target in line with the company's Business Plan.
- Contribute as an active member of the management team, supporting wider business objectives.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Production, Finance, and Customer Support to ensure seamless coordination.
- Ensure all sales operations and activities align with Board policies and overall strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a clear, measurable strategy to drive sales growth of company products across all major developed markets.
- Identify, appoint, and manage international dealer partners to maximise sales performance outside the UK, ensuring strong coverage across all designated territories.
- Maintain responsibility for dealer relationship management - from candidate identification and appointment (subject to Board approval) to ongoing performance monitoring and support.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of delivering results through dealer and distributor networks.
- Create and implement (upon Board approval) a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy aligned with the company's wider business development and growth objectives.
- Stay informed of industry and market developments, including changes in customer demand and OEM activity, and provide the Board with timely recommendations for action.
- Advise on strategic initiatives such as new product development or alternative distribution models to support continued business growth.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Effectively manage arrangements for extensive overseas travel in line with company policies.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of modern dealership operations and implement systems and procedures to manage these relationships successfully.
- Display flexibility to undertake multiple overseas trips, including extended periods abroad and occasional short-notice travel.
- Remain comfortable and productive when working independently for long periods, both domestically and internationally.
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports while fostering close collaboration with other departments to maximise team and business performance.
- Exhibit strong commitment to the role and the company's strategic aims, supporting and contributing to ongoing business development.
- Lead by example with honesty, integrity, and professionalism, inspiring others to perform at their best.
- Communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the business, ensuring consistency and transparency within the sales function and wider organisation.
