Group Corporate Development Manager (Exclusive/Belfast)
VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with a global market leading business to recruit a Group Corporate Development Manager, reporting to the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions this is a newly created role and will be responsible for M&A to identify and execute acquisitions and disposals. This hands-on role involves building relationships, sourcing deals, and managing the full M&A lifecycle, from initial targeting to post-deal integration.

About you
- 5+ years' experience in M&A, with a track record of sourcing, evaluating, and executing transactions from initial contact to close.
- Strong commercial instincts, financial analysis skills, and the ability to assess strategic fit and value creation opportunities.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex issues and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and drive efficient deal execution.
- Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, or a related field, ideally with a professional qualification.
What you'll do
Pipeline Development and Opportunity Identification
- Identify and pursue acquisition targets aligned with Group strategy.
- Build and manage relationships with intermediaries to maintain a strong deal pipeline.
- Proactively approach potential targets to create opportunities.
- Research markets and industries to identify trends and new growth areas.
Stakeholder Engagement and Internal Alignment
- Support the Director engaging with subsidiary MDs and directors to encourage growth thinking, both organic and acquisitive.
- Provide regular pipeline updates to senior leadership, ensuring strategic alignment.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders across the Group.
Commercial Analysis and Strategic Input
- Conduct commercial and financial assessments, focusing on strategic fit, value creation, and synergies.
- Prepare concise briefing notes, deal summaries, and board updates that distil complex information into clear, actionable insights for senior decision-makers.
- Contribute to Group M&A strategy, including sector and market recommendations
Deal Execution and Coordination
- Support the full M&A process, from initial contact through due diligence, negotiations, and integration.
- Coordinate stakeholders to ensure efficient deal progression and risk management.
- Act as the central contact for all transaction parties.
Integration and Post-Deal Support
- Support post-acquisition integration, working with subsidiary MDs and directors to align operations, finances, and culture, ensuring strategic goals are met.
- Oversee post-deal performance, ensuring value is captured and strategic objectives are achieved.
