Graduate Quantity Surveyor (Construction & Civil Engineering)

An exclusive opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join GEDA's award-winning Commercial team. With offices in Tyrone (Northern Ireland) and the East Midlands (Great Britain), GEDA delivers residential, commercial, educational and key infrastructure projects. The Ideal Person
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Knowledge
A third-level degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
Experience
At least one year's previous experience in a similar role
Skills
Ability to plan, organise, prioritise and meet deadlines using own initiative
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft packages, particularly Outlook and Excel
Full valid driving licence
Responsibilities
As part of the Commercial team, you will undertake a varied range of duties, including:
Negotiating and appointing subcontractors to schemes
Managing subcontractor packages from appointment through to final account
Preparing and submitting valuations and variations on schemes
Building close working relationships with Contracts Managers and Site teams to deliver high-quality projects
Attending site visits to review completed works, assess quality and support cost management
Complying with all company systems and procedures, including Information Management Systems
Undertaking any other tasks commensurate with the role
