Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to plan and execute continuous process and workflow improvements in alignment with company and departmental KPIs.
- Conduct work studies and optimise production processes to enhance operational performance.
- Design and implement optimal facility and equipment layouts.
- Improve material flow throughout the facility using stock control and Kanban systems.
- Create and maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) as needed.
- Drive progress on projects through the Engineering Change Process.
- Identify machinery needs and provide data to support capital expenditure requests for continuous improvement.
- Assist in planning and developing operational resources.
- Lead the operational introduction of new products in line with the New Product Development (NPD) process.
- Facilitate problem-solving, quality improvements, and waste reduction through cross-departmental collaboration.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication within the Engineering department and across other relevant departments.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues and clarify specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Criteria:
- Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Process Engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in implementing measurable and effective process improvements
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Experience with lean manufacturing techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software
- Demonstrable report writing skills
- Experience in project/teamwork
- Full clean UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
Desirable Criteria:
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 (2018)
- Experience with MRP systems
