VANRATH are thrilled to be assisting with this extremely rare opportunity for a General Manager to join one of the most exciting up-coming ventures to hit Belfast. This General Manager will join a prestigious award-winning provider of flexible workspace, almost like the Hilton of flexible office spaces. The Historic Custom House building is being converted to this State-of-the-Art office space.

This role would suit a charismatic, experienced and personable General Manager who potentially comes from a Hotel Management background, or Flexible Office Space Management background.

This is a Permanent - Monday - Friday position (9.00am - 5.00pm). No Weekend Working. Based in Belfast City Centre.

Responsibilities

You will be the first point of contact for all existing clients, new clients and internal stakeholders, but more than that you're a crucial part of the centre team. You'll be dealing with clients every day, so professionalism is of the utmost importance

  • To be accountable for the day to day running of the business centre covering all aspects including first class service delivery, operations, team management and support, sales, health and safety, building security and team management
  • Play an active role in sales management as well as supporting the Sales team with attracting new clients. Deliver first class viewings of the office space with potential clients and actively be involved in finalising agreements as well as the retention of our existing clients
  • Oversee maintenance and FM for the building in liaison with the onsite Maintenance Officer and head office FM team. Oversee and monitor cleaning standards. Use correct escalation processes to resolve all issues asap. Have a good working relationship with local contractors to ensure speed and efficiency of response.
  • Manage and maintain effective relationships within the Belfast Community by actively liaising with local agents and business associations
  • To inspire and motivate our operational and administrative team to improve client satisfaction
  • Support where required with the advertisement and planning of our community events for clients and actively encourage our clients to attend
  • Help build engagement through our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram & TikTok)
  • Reporting

The Ideal Candidate:

  • General Management, or Management experience in a similar setting (potentially from a Hotel or Hospitality setting)
  • Experience of a client-facing service role with a passion to create an amazing experience with our clients
  • Great networking skills, and effective communication and leadership
  • Proactive hands-on approach to work
  • Charismatic and presentable individual
