A leading technology company is currently undertaking a large-scale implementation project and they are looking for highly experienced Functional Design Leads to guide key phases of a complex systems transformation, ensuring strategic alignment and streamlined delivery across multiple workstreams.

The Functional Design Lead will be joining a large-scale project team who are tasked with implementing a complex workday solution across an impressive end-user client. To be considered for the role it is essential to be an implementation expert, ideally with a background in Accountancy & Finance.

About you:

  • Qualified Accountant or have a robust financial background
  • Strong background in systems or process redesign
  • Experience managing or leading functional design activities for large projects
  • Excellent workshop facilitation skills, able to engage diverse stakeholder groups
  • Effective communicator, comfortable working with senior leadership
  • Ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and manage project risks
  • Proven track record of delivering complex functional or technical phases on time and within scope

What you'll do:

  • Lead critical phases of the systems implementation, ensuring deliverables are aligned with project goals
  • Facilitate workshops to define detailed functional or process requirements
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop clear design documentation
  • Oversee validation, assurance, and reporting activities to track progress and identify issues
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status effectively
  • Support issue resolution and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle
