Vanrath are working with rapidly growing fully remote payments solutions company. Born is the USA our client have had a presence in N.Ireland now for the last 5 years.

They have adopted a Remote First policy across all UK hires, and they are building a new Front End team under their Belfast Based Director of Software Engineering.

Immediate opening available for Principal Level Software Engineer: As a Principal Software engineer you will remain hands on but provide leadership and mentorship to more junior colleague and take part in the strategic direction on the products and get involved in design conversations.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years in a Software Engineering position.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
• Expertise in front-end product development.
• Expertise in developing with modern JavaScript (ES6/7+).
• Experience with HTML and CSS, including one of SASS, LESS, SCSS.
• Experience with front-end build tools (e.g. NPM / Yarn, Babel, Webpack, Gulp etc).
• Strong design sense, with experience translating prototypes to pixel perfect, responsive user interfaces.
• Expertise in one or more modern web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular), and solid understanding of optimising front end applications for minimal load times.
• Experience working with REST APIs, GraphQL and OAuth2 / OIDC.
