VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading engineering business who are currently recruiting a Financial Controller to join their team. This is an initial interim contract and would suit a senior professional, with experience of leading a finance team in a fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environment.

The Financial Controller will take responsibility for managing the finance team across AP/AR/CASH, alongside ensuring the timely completion of the monthly management accounts packs. The incoming candidate will take control of the audit preparation, and work with the external auditors during this period.

About you

• Qualified Accountant with experience of a senior leadership role
• Strong commercial acumen
• Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
• Available at short notice

What you'll do

• Oversee and review the work of the finance team
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, presenting to senior board members
• Coordination of quarterly reports
• Coordination of audit
• Weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting/management
