VANRATH are delighted to be working with a successful SME business based in Belfast, the organisation has aggressive growth plans in the next few years and a 'hands-on' Financial Controller is required to assist with these plans.

Are you a Senior Finance Professional who is available at short notice to lead a finance team, alongside working closely with company directors to drive the business forward. If you have previous experience of working within an SME business, ideally with tangible evidence of facilitating growth, this could be the ideal role for you.

As this is a newly created role within the business, initially they are keen to get someone on board as soon as possible. Therefore, the role will commence as an interim opportunity with the view to convert to a permanent contract.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• High degree of self-motivation and initiative
• Strong commercial expertise in scaling businesses
• Ability to manage and lead a finance function
• Available to start at short notice

What you'll do

• Oversee and review the work of the finance team
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, presenting to senior board members
• Preparation of quarterly reports
• Coordination of quarterly reports
• Coordination of audit
• Weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting/management
