Financial Controller (Immediate Start, £60k Contract)

Job Description

VANRATH are delighted to be recruiting for a Financial Controller to lead a small finance team while supporting the MD of this business. This role is initially a 3-6 month contract and requires someone who can start immediately. Competitive salary and bonus available for the successful candidate.

You will be tasked with overseeing the financial and accounting operations for the business on an international scale.


Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Managing Director, they are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead & develop core activities, including but not limited to:

  • Compile timely and reliable month and year end closing data
  • Managing Cost Control
  • Provide financial information to and actively advise the management team
  • Compile required data for budget and forecast based on demonstrated performance
  • Support & Challenge the senior leadership on financial performance and improvement strategy


Experience & Qualifications:

This is a pivotal role within our management team. We are ideally looking for a Candidate who fulfils the following criteria:

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proven management experience in a commercial environment
  • Experience of presenting financial information at senior level
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Previous experience in a construction or manufacturing sectors and using an ERP system would be beneficial
