A successful, innovative business based in County Tyrone requires a Financial Controller to join their team on an initial interim basis. Are you a Qualified Accountant with experience of leading small finance function, ideally with previous financial reporting experience.

This is a Financial Controller position, and the successful candidate will take responsibility for the financial reporting objectives of the business, which will include the management of a small finance team. The Financial Controller will initially join the business on an interim basis, however, for the right candidate there is an opportunity to secure a permanent contract. This role will provide the Financial Controller with the opportunity to gain new skills, experience a growing environment and to gain financial reporting, commercial and operational experience that will enable further career development.

About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 3 years PQE
  • Strong financial reporting and audit background (desirable)
  • Commercial awareness
  • Confident to work with senior leadership team to enhance decision making
  • Strong IT skills (MS Excel, Power BI)

What you'll do

  • Take ownership of finance department to meet weekly and monthly financial reporting objectives - Balance sheet reporting, analytical review, journal postings and reconciliation of all balances
  • Working closely with Finance Director for SLT objectives
  • Developing and implementing strong financial controls throughout the business
  • Budgeting, forecasting and report productions for wider Group
  • Continual development of finance team via training and recruitment
