VANRATH are delighted to be partnered with a global engineering firm based in County Tyrone who are recruiting a Financial Controller to join their team for a 9-12 month contract. This is an opportunity to join a business who are continually evolving within their industry, having been leaders within that sector throughout the last century!

Reporting to the Group FD, the Financial Controller will be responsible for the site financial performance, along with having direct input within the wider business areas. This is a role that is ideal for a commercially astute senior finance professional, who enjoys business partnering with operational leaders to drive growth.

If you have experience with engineering/manufacturing you would be at an advantage, however proven experience in a senior leadership role is essential - along with an ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

About you

• Senior Accountant with 5+ years PQE
• Advocate for continuous improvement
• Commercial mindset with strong communication and influencing skills
• Available at short notice

What you'll do

• Actively link the finance team with wider operations, influencing day to day decisions
• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the division can hit targets/objectives
• Commercially aware to understand the requirements for different business units
• Drive continuous improvement with use of financial data to make recommendations
• Ensure internal controls are in place and the confirm the validity of financial information
