VANRATH are delighted to be working with a leading Professional Services firm based in Belfast, who are recruiting an Accountant to join their team. This is an opportunity to join a market leading business who operate internationally, where you will have exposure to working in a fast paced environment with some of the most well known companies in the world.

Reporting to the Global Finance Manager, the Accountant will be responsible for performing contract reviews to determine revenue recognition, recording revenue entries in the accounting ledgers and general accounts administration.

This role is initially a 9 month contract but with the size of the business and their demanding work load, there is a very high chance of being made permanent.

About you

• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong IT skills preferably MS Excel
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Available at short notice

What you'll do

• Perform client contract reviews and determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
• Record revenue entries in the accounting ledgers
• Record cash entries in ledgers and bank reconciliation
• Submit invoices for payment, follow up on outstanding invoices
• Prepare weekly & monthly internal & external revenue reports
